Weekend Stock Up

I finished a couple of projects this weekend. I had this little froggie all planned out in my head. He didn’t turn out exactly as I thought he would, but he’s still pretty cute. I did a whole photo shoot with the little guy. He’s super soft-made from that Red Heart Moon & Stars yarn I reviewed last week.

Celedon and Buttercup Sleeping Bunny

I have to say, I’m really starting to love these little stuffed sleeping bunnies. They may start to multiply at my house like their real life counterparts.

This little guy is so precious in celedon and buttercup tiny plaid super soft flannel. I like the freedom of just “drawing” the shape onto my fabric with my sewing machine. I’m not really a big fan of patterns per se. So I just put right sides together, draw a REALLY loose shape on the wrong side and then follow along with my sewing machine all the way around.

Busy as a bee last night

If you’ve read this blog more than once, you’ve probably noticed that I love owls. But lately I’ve been a little obsessed with bees. Not the real ones, but more the cute little cartoonish versions. Productive Sunday

Well, it was a productive Sunday. Saturday marked the end of my Indie Biz class which was bitter sweet. The good news is that I ended that feeling so amped and ready to create. Sleeping Bunny Stuffie

I was asked to make a baby shower gift in pink and brown. That was the only requirement. So, I was considering making an amigurumi pink bunny with brown features. But then I came home and looked at my lovely pile of fabric that has been sitting untouched for far too long. I decided this beautiful piece of pink and brown toille was about to become a sleepy bunny…perfect for a baby…no buttons or small parts to choke on.

I'm finally finished
